Qavi Khan born and educated in Peshawar, kPK. He started working, at a young age, at Radio Pakistan, Peshawar as a child actor. His family later moved to Lahore. In 1964, he went ahead to work for Pakistan Television Corporation when TV broadcasting initially began in Lahore, Pakistan, being one of the principal performing artists of PTV. He began his movie vocation in 1965. Qavi is notable for his PTV’s (1984-1985 TV season) police show serial Andhera Ujala which propelled him to fame nearby his kindred performing artists, for example, Irfan Khoosat and the late Jamil Fakhri.
