09. TAIPEI 101 – Taiwan
Taipei 101 was known as the Taipei World Financial Center in past is a sign super tall skyscraper which is located in District, Taipei, Taiwan. This building was officially confidential as world’s tallest in 2004 and remain such until the completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. The Building has rewarded the LEED platinum certification in 2011 according to the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) ranking system and became the tallest and largest green building in the world. Construction on the 101 story tower started in 1999 and completed in 2004. The Building was architecturally shaped as a symbol of the evolution of technology and Asian Tradition. 08. CTF FINANCE CENTRE – China
The Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre mixed-use skyscraper in Guangzhou in China is a 1,739-foot tall which was completed in October 2016 mixed-use skyscraper. It is the tallest completed building in Guangzhou, the third-tallest in China, and the seventh-tallest in the world. This building is also called East Tower. The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre has a total of 111 above ground and five below ground floors and also houses a shopping mall, offices, apartments, and a hotel. The Guangzhou CTF Finance Center is situated on a 290,000 square foot along Zhujiang East Road in Zhujiang New Town. The Guangzhou CTF Center is part of the Guangzhou Twin Towers. The Guangzhou CTF Finance Center is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and houses on the world’s fastest elevators.
07. ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER – New York
The World Trade Center is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. World Trade Center is the tallest building in the United States and also the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world. The super tall structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was damaged in the terrorist attacks on 11th September 2011. The building is surrounded by West Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south and Washington Street to the east. The building’s draftsman is David Chils whose firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) also designed the Burj Khalifa and the Willis Tower. The Construction of below-ground utility relocations, footings, and foundations for the new building started on 27Th April 2006. The World Trade Center became the tallest structure in New York City on 30th April 2012 when it exceeded the height of the Empire State Building.
06. LOTTE WORLD TOWER – Korea
Lotte World Tower is a 123-floor, 555-meter supertall skyscraper situated in Seoul, South Korea which was opened to the public on 11th April 2017 and currently is the tallest building in South Korea and 5th tallest building of the world. The construction of the tower was started after getting final authorization by the government in November 2010 and the first groundbreaking activities of piling and frame assembly were observed at the construction site in March. At the start of New Year 2016, the LED-pixels of the façade showed “2016”. Prior to the final phase of external construction, the Diagrid hurricane lantern shaped rod structure was completed in 17th March 2016. The roof structure was constructed with steel counterparts that are each 12 meters and weigh 20 tons. The counterparts were made up of curved metal panels that are 6 cm thick, and the structure itself is 120 meters high. The roof structure is engineered to withstand its weight without reinforcing pillars and endure earthquakes.
05. PING AN FINANCE CENTRE – Futien
Ping An International Finance Centre is a 115-story supertall skyscraper in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The building was commissioned by Ping Insurance and designed by the American architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. It was completed in 2017 becoming the tallest building in Shenzhen, 02nd tallest building in China and the 04th tallest building in the World. It is situated within the Central Business District of Shenzhen in Futian. Its 18,931 square meter assortment was purchased by Ping An Group through an auction on a price of 1.6568 billion RMB on 06th November 2007 and design of the building started in 2008 with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associated providing the architectural design and Thornton Tomasetti providing the structural design. Its foundation stone was laid on 29th August 2009 and construction was started in November in the same year.
04. ABRAJ AL BAIT MALL (KINGDOM CLOCK TOWER) – Saudi Arabia
The Abraj Al-Bait is a government mega tall complex of seven skyscraper hotels in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The central hotel tower, the Makka Royal Clock Tower has the world’s largest clock face and is the third tallest building and fifth tallest freestanding structure in the world. The developer and contractor of the complex are Saudi Binladin Group which is the largest construction company. It is one of the Most Expensive Top Ten Buildings in the World with the total cost of construction equaling US$15 billion. The tallest tower in the complex is the tallest building in Saudi Arabia, with a height of 581.1 meters (1,906 feet). Currently, it is the fifth-tallest freestanding structure in the world.
03. SHANGHAI TOWER – China
The Shanghai Tower is a 632 meters (2,073 ft), 128 stories mega tall skyscraper which is situated in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai. It is the world’s second tallest building by height to architectural top designed by international designer firm Gensler and owned by the Shanghai city government. It is one of the tallest Top Ten Buildings of the world. Its tiered construction, designed for high energy efficiency, provides nine separate zones divided between office retail and leisure use. The construction work on the tower began in November 2008 and topped out on 03rd August 2013. The external was finished in summer 2015 and work was considered complete in September 2015.
02. WUHAN GREENLAND CENTER – China
Wuhan Greenland Center is an uncompleted skyscraper in Wuhan, China. Manufacturing has delayed since August 2017 on the 96th floor. It will be redesigned so its height does not exceed 500 meters above sea level due to airspace regulations. Another Chinese building Ping An Finance Center was also scaled down for comparable reasons. Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill architects in combination with Tomasetti Engineer won the design antagonism to build an energy-efficient tower for Greenland Group in June 2011.
01. BURJ KHALIFA – Dubai
The Burj Khalifa is known as Burj Dubai before its inaugural ceremony in 2010, is a skyscraper in Dubai with a total height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) and a roof height is 828 m (2,717 ft). The Burj Khalifa is the tallest structure and building in the world since 2008. The construction work of the Burj Khalifa began in 2004 with the exterior completed five years later in 2009. The primary structure is unbreakable concrete and the building was opened in 2010 a part of a new development called Downtown Dubai.
